Out of nowhere news but I must says that it is very exciting news for my photography career. I've won the 1st place of the Alumia Prize for photography and design. The 2012 Alumia Prize for Photography and Design is an exciting and prestigious new photography competition in Québec. It shines a spotlight on extraordinary architecture and industrial design in Quebec that incorporates aluminum in innovative ways. Alumia showcases the talents of the emerging photographers selected to capture the essence of aluminum.
I took hundreds of pictures of the McGill University Music building and spent all Christmas break to work on that projet, without much sleep. And now it's over, and it paid of. It's so exciting ! The media coverage for this competition is HUGE. I'll be on cover of the next edition of the official mag of the Quebec Board of Architects, and the press release is spreading. See the article on the current edition of Canadian Architect: [link]
All the contestant's pictures are so great. You should check it out. www.alumia.ca
Cheers !
