This is a scenery from Magdalen Islands (Iles-de-la-Madeleine) in Québec. I used to live there all summer long for 17 years. In a way, I was almost born there. And now because of several factors, I have not been back for 6 years. Now I've become someone completely different than the "me" that was last there. It's almost scarry in a certain way...
And I miss it so much. As a kid, I used to follow my father (which is a photographer) doing photography everywhere on the island or on the sea. I rolled his 120 film rolls and played with his Hasselblad. Great memory. I hope to go back again and do some photography again with proper gear. *** The title comes from the song (Just Like) Starting Over from the album Double Fantasy by John Lennon. As a kid, I used to listen to that record again in again in the car while being on the Islands. *** Photo: 6 years old file, shooted with a crappy 3MP coolpix camera, post-processed with Lightroom. Kodak Tri-X 320 film simulation (and tribute ! Gosh I love this film). |
